Investment Banking Financial Analyst
Job Description:
The Financial Analyst Program presents an excellent opportunity
for undergraduates to work on a variety of transactions, providing
exposure to different financial advisory and investment banking
products and industries. The products include, mergers and acquisitions,
private placements of debt and equity, balance sheet restructuring,
leveraged buyouts, and business and securities valuations. The
analyst will work with senior professionals that will give the
analyst broad exposure to the many different issues and concerns
affecting businesses today. The financial analyst's responsibilities
will include researching and analyzing financial statements, general
economic conditions, industry specific trends, acquisitions and
divestitures, and developing complex financial models. The financial
analyst will assist senior bankers in the preparation of pitch
books, research reports, presentations and other offering materials.
Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics from
top undergraduate school.
Candidates must be ranked in the top 20% of class.
- Prior investment banking experience is strongly preferred.
- Candidates must have:
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills;
- Computer skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint);
- An understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and
applications;
- A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels
of staff; and
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
